The Staff and Community Development Coordinator will work with many levels of leadership and staff to manage Staff and Community Development program efforts based on industry best practices; works as the single point of contact for facilitation and communication of student staff hiring, training, and ongoing support goals, deliverables, and schedules, and must be an excellent communicator; various levels of documentation will be produced at each stage of the program and the program manager is often the person who creates these with input from others. This position will interact on a regular basis with: Faculty, Staff, and Students. This position typically will advise and counsel: Faculty, Staff, and Students. Establish goals, objectives, and evaluations for staff and community development efforts in order to successfully plan, execute, and assess regular trainings, professional development, evaluation, and recognition programs for professional and student staff. Evaluate the development programs on an ongoing basis.
Manage day-to-day operational aspects of hiring and onboarding processes for new staff members, including planning scheduling, and monitoring activities; Assist with developing and formalizing program scope; assign resources and set deadlines.
Recommend, update, and support programmatic policies and procedures for student employment in the department.
Develop and maintain effective relationships with professional staff managers, supervisors, program stakeholders, teams, and others to assess needs and existing program methodology.
Research and identify funding and resources to support programs; Track timelines and budgets, report status, and resolve or escalates issues as necessary.
May assist with developing and distributing publications, resources, and program or marketing materials.
Participate in strategic and operational planning for Staff and Community Development programs for the department, the division, and potentially for Georgia Tech Community.
