Essential Functions: Job PurposeReporting to the Director, the Reservations Supervisor is responsible for the reservations and event planning process for Student Center run spaces to internal and external clients. Essential FunctionsReserve Student Center run spaces on campus and assist customers (external, departments and student organizations) through their event planning process including customer meetings, tours, room diagrams, contracts and billing. Create the optimal experience for all customers by analyzing their budget, needs, and goals. Connect customers to the correct campus resources.Co-supervise up to 20 student reservations and information desk staff. Provide leadership on all area responsibilities. Assist and participate in special projects such as staff recruitment and selection, staff training, departmental assessment, goal setting and serve on divisional committees.Serve as a coordination liaison to other departments and University personnel, outside agencies and professional groups. Work closely with the Student Center Administration professional staff to ensure all pre-event preparations are complete. Assist with the development of short and long-range Student Center Administration planning. Create, implement, update and distribute procedures and policies necessary to ensure smooth functioning of department. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation Bachelor's degreeAdditional Education Information: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a preferred concentration in Business, Hospitality, Student Affairs or Higher Education or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Master's Degree preferred. Experience Experienced (minimum 2 years of job-related experience)Minimum of 2 years of job related experience. Preference for related experience in student center reservations, event planning, student activities. Experience with EMS (Student Center Scheduling Software) preferred. Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesExcellent organization, management, communication and human relations skills. Can work with events involving multiple parties.
