Job Description:
Northland Community and Technical College is seeking a campus counselor to provide comprehensive counseling services to students on our Thief River Falls and East Grand Forks campuses. These services include, but are not limited to:
Providing personal and crisis counseling
Acting as the basic needs coordinator
Creating student mental health programming
Providing career exploration and goal setting services
Advising at-risk students.
The counselor will be knowledgeable about college and community services to ensure that students are provided timely and accurate guidance towards the appropriate resources. The counselor position is a part of the Student Affairs division, which works together to promote student success by empowering students to use the resources available to achieve their goals, both in and out of the classroom.
Required Qualifications:
Master's degree in counseling or counseling psychology.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous college counseling experience
Experience with student/community health outreach initiatives
Knowledge of career exploration tools
Demonstrated commitment to inclusive counseling or student success services
