The New School seeks an experienced administrator to assist its Admission Operations Department. Reporting to the Director of Admission Operations, the Coordinator will support data integrity for the operations team including data audit and testing, as well as special projects as needed. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem solving skills, and an aptitude for detailed work. Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and track multiple tasks is also required.Â
As a member of the Enrollment Services team, the Coordinator will play a vital role in the implementation of recruitment and yield services that will support a seamless admission and enrollment experience for the Universityâ™s traditional and nontraditional prospective student populations, including undergraduates, graduates, and adults. Evening and weekend hours will be required.Â
The successful candidate will be a technically-minded, detail-oriented problem-solver, possessing strong organizational skills. This position requires a strong customer service orientation and the demonstrated ability to perform a variety of complex and diverse tasks.Â

Responsibilities:Â
Data tracking and reporting, including creating and maintaining CEEB codes within the universityâ™s Student Information System, and preparing and distributing weekly reports.Â
Run Slate reports frequently to identify the status of applicant files; review for erroneous incomplete files.Â
Track and maintain daily exception reports; Resolve surface level data errors identified..Â
Assist with the reconciliation of student records for the Registrarâ™s office.
Maintain knowledge of the universityâ™s tools and systems, including Banner, Axiom, Perceptive, Slate, and Common Application; Learn new systems and tools as needed.
Support overall system integrity; Identify system issues and works with Director to resolve problemsÂ
Oversee training and assist with supervision of student employees responsible for mail processingÂ
Maintain operational procedures documentationÂ
Assist with testing of admission applications and systemsÂ
Assist in the accurate and timely processing of a high volume of applications and related credentialsÂ
Perform scanning and indexing using document imaging software, as well as data entry to the student information systemÂ
Respond to general questions from applicants and enrolled students through emailÂ
Provide backup coverage for decision posting and letter generationÂ
Performs other duties as neededÂ
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelorâ™s degree and/or or experience working in a higher education environmentÂ
2 or more years of work experience in an administrative settingÂ
Experience with SlateÂ
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically MS Word and ExcelÂ
Willingness to undertake new projects, work with minimal supervision and be a team playerÂ
Superior communication skills, both oral and written, including the ability to interact with a diverse population ranging from students across all of our programsÂ
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple deadlines and projectsÂ

Work Mode:
Hybrid/Remote - Employees hired for this position primarily work remotely with the occasional on-campus presence required with advanced notice.
