Job Description: What We Are Looking For
The Baylor University Department of the LHSON Student Services is seeking a full-time Office Manager - Student Services Associate to support the mission of Baylor University. This position specifically Coordinates student activities and provides administrative support for day to day operations of the Student Services department. Hold departmental p-card and function as department shopper.
This position is based in Dallas, TX. A High School diploma, three years of relevant work experience, and a Christian faith are required. An Associate degree and five years of relevant work experience are preferred. A combination of education and work experience will not be considered in lieu of the required degree and/or years of experience.
What You Will Do
Provide high level of administrative support. Coordinate and provide administrative support departmental scheduling/planning for routine meetings and events. Arrange for catering as needed for departmental meetings and events. Monitor workroom stocks and order needed supplies. Hold departmental Purchasing Card. Monitor and replenish 'The Store' stocks.
Arrange for update of Undergraduate Student Handbook each semester - coordinate updates and changes with appropriate administrators, faculty and staff. Maintain lists and rosters such as group email addresses. Make updates to student data and rosters in Banner, Canvas and Navigate. Generate reports as needed. Manage the Student Services Canvas Community Site.
Coordinate and provide administrative support for Student Services events and initiatives such as Orientation, Preview Day, etc. Prepare and distribute promotional materials for departmental and student events. Serve as liaison for student organizations and assist student organizations and faculty sponsors with purchasing and catering arrangements. Provide similar support for Pre-Nursing activities as needed.
Provide support for various development related activities. Includes providing support for Parent's Network, public events, and working with students to write thank you letters to scholarship donors.
Manage student onboarding processes for Traditional and FastBacc students - includes processing/collecting ID photos, forms and motor vehicle forms. Work with parking services to coordinate printing of badges and manage parking payments. Serve as liaison for badge/parking issues that may arise. Arrange for CPR training for incoming students. Submit names to Texas Board of Nursing regarding background clearances. Ensure all are cleared prior to start of orientation.
