The academic recruiter will seek out and engage with prospective graduate students for enrollment in online graduate degree and certification programs offered by the University of Texas at Arlington's College of Education (COEd) or College of Architecture, Planning, and Public Affairs (CAPPA). The ideal candidate is an engaging individual who loves to connect with prospective students and has a strong desire to become a champion for the online degree and certification options offered in the COEd or CAPPA.
Essential Duties:
Market and promote the COEd or CAPPA online programs on and off-campus to businesses, community colleges, four-year universities, and other organizations in connection with recruitment of students.
Execute an effective communication, recruitment and marketing strategy to encourage prospective students to select a graduate program in the College of Education or the College of Architecture, Planning, and Public Affairs.
Develop, implement, and manage various recruitment strategies; this may include mailings, phone campaigns, email/electronic communications, college/high school visits, information sessions, and other special events.
Design of these strategies will be in cooperation with the Assistant Director of Online Programs and the college's marketing and recruitment team.
Attend recruitment fairs, conferences and other events (both in person and online) to establish relationships and collaborations with colleges/universities.
Build relationships with stakeholders within the professional academic fields, including local school districts and institutions of higher education.
Meet individually online, in person, or by phone with prospective students or meet in group settings via information sessions or other recruitment events to discuss degree options, program eligibility, tuition/cost/funding options, deadlines, and more.
Act as a community liaison between local public schools, higher education institutions, and UTA academic units (e.g., COEd, CAPPA) to coordinate group tours, presentations, and disseminate admissions requirements to prospective students.
Create a student engagement strategy which includes event management, increasing awareness of our services, and creating a better student experience.
Develop and maintain professional networks and technical knowledge by participating in professional conferences and workshops.
Use CRM (customer relationship management) programs to monitor and track the interest and application funnel for prospective students for the COEd or CAPPA.
Help ensure applicants have submitted all required fees, document, and other application materials.
Keep students informed of their status within the admissions process by maintaining consistent communication throughout the admissions process.
Follow-up with newly admitted UTA students to determine progress toward meeting the conditions of admission to the COEd or CAPPA.
Collect, maintain, and distribute data on prospective students, including event attendance, requests for information, individual meetings, as well as applicants, newly admitted students, and enrolled students for programs within the COEd or CAPPA.
Performs other duties assigned.
