Reporting to the Assistant Vice President of Enrollment at The New School in New York City with a dotted line to Parsons Paris, working with the Senior Director of Enrollment & Admission for Parsons Paris. The Associate Director will manage the day-to-day activities for International admission by representing The New Schoolâ™s full range of degree program offerings at recruitment events on and off-campus. To achieve enrollment goals, the successful individual will work closely with faculty, administrators, current and prospective students at all New School programs and colleges.Â
This position requires extensive travel both domestically and internationally. The incumbent must be flexible to work weekends and evenings during high travel season and other high-volume admission times. This is a hybrid position requiring occasional presence on the NYC campus for meetings and events.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Evaluate, analyze and make recommendations for the international application file review process and standards, including assessment of international transcripts evaluations and GPA calculations, preparing applicantsâ™ files for review
Liaise with faculty regarding application review, recruitment and outreach activities; team lead on international enrollment priorities
Manage the international recruitment strategy by identifying new and emerging markets while maintaining active presence in pipeline (top 20 feeder) markets.
Supervise and mentor the International Admission Counselor
Direct the International team strategy with innovative event planning on- and off-campus; information sessions, National Portfolio Day, Open House, online chats and webinars, FaceBook Live and Admitted Student Days in collaboration with the Assistant Vice Presidents of Enrollment and other Admission Directors
Works with the Assistant Vice Presidents and Admission Directors to design and implement recruitment and yield strategies, and conduct relevant planning initiatives for recruitment and outreach including faculty and alumni participation.
Maintain close working relationships with key enrollment partners, including Student Financial Services, Student Success Orientation, Advising, Housing, and International Student and Scholar Services.
Lead staff training on international transcript review and GPA calculation
Serve as the primary point of contact to the International Student and Scholar Services leadership team about enrollment goals and movement, including requests for late arrivals
Interview and counsel students on admission requirements and provide basic financial aid and scholarship information to prospective student and families
Create and direct presentations and update web content changes for the International admission pages; monitoring consistency and accuracy across other department web pages
Represent The New School at International conferences in the U.S. and abroad
Other duties and projects as assigned by the Assistant Vice Presidents of Enrollment in NY and ParisÂ
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelorâ™s degree required
5-7 years of progressively responsible experience in international admission
Demonstrated computer knowledge/skills such as MS Office and Google Suite
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Strong professional, interpersonal and presentation skills
Valid driverâ™s license and Passport
Ability to travel
Saturday and evening hours are required
Ability to adhere to University Covid-19 Policy
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Masterâ™s degree
Fluency and/or proficiency in foreign language(s)
BANNER, Slate experience desirable
Experience working with creative programs across degree levels
