ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT II, Disability and Access Services (DAS),to perform administrative duties in support of DAS. Will play a key role in ensuring access for qualified students with disabilities in a role that involves extensive student contact. Responsibilities will include providing information; coordinating services; responding to inquiries from MIT faculty, staff, and students family members, and the general public; and providing ancillary coverage to Student Support Services.The position will require developing broad understanding of MIT's DAS Services and ADA policies and procedures.
REQUIRED: high school diploma or its equivalent; at least three years of experience; strong interpersonal and communication skills; good judgment with confidential information; initiative; flexible approach to the workload in a dynamic, high-energy environment; ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment; attention to detail; ability to meet deadlines, multitask, prioritize, and establish boundaries; and ability to work with spreadsheet, database, and web software and generally navigate technology. Hourly rate: starting at $25/hour, based on experience
This is a hybrid position with the ability to work from home one day/week after training is completed.
