Job Description:

1. Supervise day-to-day operations of the Career & Technical Institute and General Interest programming including oversight of staff and program operations.
2. Provide support for all classroom management functions including; instructional oversight, support for instructors, assistance with the development and maintenance of master schedule.
3. Supervise the proper maintenance of records for all students – attendance, academic performance, etc. as necessary for reporting, including funded students (i.e., WDB, One Stop, Trade Act, DVRS, etc.).
4. Recruit, advise, register and help retain open-enrollment students and trainees; create new ways to increase enrollment and revenue.
5. Oversee classroom midterm and final evaluations and review feedback to make future program recommendations.
6. Assist with the analysis of labor markets and develop new programs.
7. Assist instructors in the process of securing externship opportunities for applicable programs.
8. Oversee instructors and evening supervisors for optimal performance and oversee instructor payroll.
9. Assist the Project Coordinator with the creation and distribution of instructor agreements for all programs.
10. Organize and implement various events throughout the year including open house, recognition ceremony, instructor orientation, etc.; conduct information sessions as appropriate.
11. Present at local schools and organizations to inform prospective students about programs and services offered through the Career & Technical Institute.
12. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of US & NJ Department of Labor Training Grants as well as State websites such as Eligible Training Provider (ETPL) and DOL.
13. Assist with identifying grant opportunities; provide assistance in preparing grant applications.
14. Work with Academic Affairs and Financial Aid offices to make qualified Career & Technical Institute programs eligible for credits and/or financial aid.
15. Manage the Career & Technical Institute website content to ensure current information is accurate and available.
16. Assist with the addressing of student and instructor complaints/concerns.
17. Update and maintain materials for college publications and brochures.
18. Comply with all safety, fire, and smoking regulations.
19. Complete all mandatory compliance and safety training as scheduled by Human Resources
20. Perform all other duties as assigned.
