Bachelor's degree and three years of experience in a related field are required. Successful candidates must be mechanically inclined and be able or willing to perform routine maintenance on the Brunswick bowling equipment. More than three years of experience in higher education administration, building operations, student employee supervising or in a related field are preferred. Prior Brunswick bowling experience is strongly preferred. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.
Nature & Purpose of Position/Usual Duties:
Manages, supervises, and provides operational support for the Kat Klub game room with bowling in the Lowman Student Center. This position is responsible for the oversight of the Lowman Student Center game room, which includes an 8 lane bowling alley, equipment and facility rentals, billiard tables, electronic gaming systems, and hosts special events.
Primary Responsibilities (Staff Positions Only):
The Kat Klub Manager manages the day to day operations and cash handling procedures of the Lowman Student Center's Kat Klub game room with bowling alley. Performs preventative and general maintenance for all Brunswick bowling equipment, including but not limited to, bowling lanes, pinsetters, pins, ball returns, bowling balls, scoring equipment, and point of sale system. To be successful the Kat Klub manager must stay well-informed of current regional and national trends of the bowling industry through professional organizations and networking. The position will assist with the development and recommendation of policies and procedures for the Kat Klub game room. The manager is responsible for community outreach to ensure the facility is utilized to its fullest potential, including special events or other revenue generating opportunities. The successful candidate will hire, train, manage, schedule, evaluate, discipline, and approve payroll for student employees. Collaborates with department team members to create promotional materials, increase programming, coordinate marketing efforts, conducting emergency action procedures and risk management plans, and develop and coordinate the ongoing student employee training program. Performs other related duties as assigned.
