The Summer Ventures Residential Life Director is responsible for overseeing safety and behavior of teens in residential setting. Conducts recreation activities for individual and group participation. ensures students adhere to academic schedule. As a guide, minimum education and experience include graduation from high school and prior experience leading recreation activities.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Must be available to work Sunday, June 19 through Saturday, July 22, 2023 Must be prepared to reside on main campus in dorm setting and be on-call overnight and weekends for emergencies Must be willing and able to supervise, encourage and discipline staff Must be willing and able to implement and follow all SVSM program rules and policies, including those related to student cell phones Must be willing and able to manage conflicts involving staff, parents and/or students Housing & residence life experience Supervisory experience, especially involving children or young adults Minimum requirement of two years towards an associates or bachelor's degree Must have strong oral communication skills to communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff Must demonstrate initiative and leadership qualities Must have desire and experience working with youth Must demonstrate qualities of maturity, patience, and responsibility Must be at least 21 years old and qualified to drive program vans (NC driver's license; at least 21 years old; no tickets within last 4 years) Employment is subject to a criminal background check
