Description:
The Equity, Inclusion & Diversity (EID) Analyst supports the implementation of inclusive and equitable curricular programming and development resources for the Kaiser Permanente Bernard J. Tyson School of Medicine. As a member of the Office of EID, this individual also partners with the Office of Medical Education and Office of Student Affairs to support the implementation of inclusive curricula, best practices, training, and processes. The EID Curricular Analyst is primarily responsible for designing tools for schoolwide implementation, contributing to the development of inclusive design resources, supporting curricular review and EID-informed instructional design, and conducting information gathering and dissemination of resources across departments to better support inclusive curriculum design and implementation.
Essential Responsibilities:
Execute session-specific reviews and faculty consultations of session design, course design, and facilitation to reduce bias and enhance inclusive content
Build and maintain a robust database on EID content instruction and assessment across the curriculum
Produce analytical reports of EID coverage in the curriculum, selecting appropriate data sources including instructional databases, learning /content management systems such as Elentra mapping, course evaluations, scorecard feedback, and others
Conduct basic quantitative and/or qualitative data analysis of provided data; assure timely and accurate data handling
Scan, search, and retrieve inclusive teaching, culturally responsive pedagogy, restorative practice, and equitable design best practices, particularly as they apply to medical education
Provide EID-informed instructional design consultation for the EID curricular thread and other EID-related course sessions.
Source content and create job aids and summary documents for inclusive curriculum best practices
Source content and draft portions of EID-specific faculty educator development slide decks
Create EID content materials for curricular sessions as relevant to expertise, as needed
Project manage implementation of core tools and resources such as the EID curriculum scorecard, patient profile tracker, and others under the direction of the EID leaders
With guidance, identify process improvements/ issues/ solutions to enhance inclusive curriculum implementation
Provided with priorities, design standard operating procedures (SOPs) for sustainable implementation of EID in the curriculum by course faculty, including identifying and mitigating bottlenecks, maximizing access
Synthesize and communicate process improvements/ issues/ solutions to internal stakeholders, including faculty, leaders, staff and departments
Assist with editing articles, manuscripts, summary papers, reports, and other communications for submission to health professions education journals
Support event planning (scheduling, day-of coordination) for EID content expert guest speakers as needed
Other job-related duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience
A minimum of two (2) years of experience with curriculum development management (e.g. tracking resources, project manage tool implementation, etc.) and associated process development, AND
A minimum of three (3) years of experience in EID, including a strong command of EID concepts and theories such as cultural competency and structural inequity.
Education
Bachelors Degree in social science, humanities, education, or related fields with strong emphasis in social justice, EID, education theory, or related area.

Preferred Qualifications:
At least two (2) years of experience in health professions education
Experience with faculty development on instructional design methodologies and curriculum processes
Experience in program evaluation
Masters degree in Education, Sociology, or related discipline.
This role pays an estimated base salary of $77100 - $99660 plus incentive pay, robust benefits and other support for those who are eligible.
