Millersville University is accepting applications for a University Registered Nurse. A University Registered Nurse works in collaboration with other Student Affairs Professionals and Academic Departments to enhance students' experience and success by promoting health and wellness. The University Nurse is responsible for providing professional nursing services to all eligible students and employees for work related illness/injuries. The University Nurse will need to be autonomous at times and is required to possess the clinical experience to assess, evaluate, treat or refer to a provider as needed.

Hourly Rate: $29.02, plus comprehensive benefits, including:
Health insurance – Low bi-weekly premium, with coverage starting on the first day of employment for employee and all dependents.
Dental insurance – Coverage is free to employee and dependents with coverage starting on the first day of employment.
Vision insurance – Coverage is free to employee and dependents with coverage starting on the first day of employment.
Group life insurance – Equal to annual salary (up to $40,000) at no cost to the employee.
Voluntary Group Life and Accident Insurance – Available for purchase at low rates for additional employee coverage as well as coverage for spouse and children.
Long Term Disability Insurance – Available for purchase at low rates with either a 90 or 180-day waiting period.
Retirement – 2 plans to choose from.
Tuition waiver – For employee, spouse, and dependents.
Personal leave – Up to 5 days per year.
Vacation leave – Up to 7 days accrued per year for first year, increases to up to 10 days per year after 1 year.
Sick leave – Up to 12 days accrued per year, including up to 5 days per year that can be taken to care for a family member.
Holiday leave – Up to 12 days per calendar year.

One year professional nursing experience.
Current PA State Board Registered Nursing License .
Experience doing complete patient assessments.
CPR & AED certification.
Experience using electronic medical records.
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ethics and confidentiality
Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
Evidence of a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Successful completion of three background checks.
Experience in ER, Family Practice, or College Health.
Walking/Standing for extended periods of time.
Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
Flu clinics/Health Fairs will be conducted outdoors.
Must be able to lift/pull/push up to 50 pounds.
Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and mouse and to perform essential nursing duties.
Be able to wear full PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
