INTERFAITH CHAPLAIN AND PROGRAM DIRECTOR, Dean for Student Life (DSL)-Religious Life, to foster interfaith understanding, spiritual well-being, and ethical growth for the MIT community through the leadership of two key programs--the Addir Interfaith Dialogue Fellows and the Radius program in ethics. Will administer the Addir and Radius programs and ensure that program operations run smoothly; facilitate the growth and development of student participants in the Addir Fellows and coach student leaders; and design and implement lectures, workshops, and discussion groups about important ethical issues, particularly related to scientific and technological developments. Will report directly to the chaplain to the Institute/associate dean.
REQUIRED: bachelor's degree (master's preferred) in a related field; three years of experience, preferably in higher education; excellent organizational, leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills; ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects; understanding of and experience with young adult development; understanding of diverse religious traditions and successful strategies for interfaith engagement; experience in program development; and understanding of ethical issues and experience with effective strategies for advocacy. Salary Range: $70,000 - 80,000, based on equity and experience
