Office Assistant II (Desk Attendant) - Residence Life

This is moderate to complex office work in the Office of Residence Life requiring considerable independent judgment, the ability to be highly organized and excellent interpersonal skills. The schedule for this position will be five days per week. Applicants must be willing to work weekends and holidays.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensures the safety of all residents.
Monitors the identification of all residents and guests entering the building.
Facilitates the guest sign-in policy.
Enforces visitation and alcohol policies.
Receives, screens and refers telephone calls and visitors.
Serve as main point of contact for the Residence Life Duty Desk.
Refer duty calls to Resident Director on Call as necessary.
Liaison with Facilities Management on after-hour maintenance request and follow-up.
Alerts Residence Life staff of any unusual circumstances.
Answers inquiries from the campus and general community.
Completes other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Associates Degree from an accredited institution preferred.
