Primary Purpose of Position
The Residence Education Coordinator is a 12-month, full-time professional staff member in the Department of Housing and Residence Life. The Residence Education Coordinator is responsible for providing overall management and leadership in residential communities housing 300-750 residents.
Summary of Position Responsibilities
Principal responsibilities include:
Staff supervision and development.
Residential education.
Community development.
Student conduct.
Facility and assignment management.
Hall council advising.
Crisis management
Summer operations
Other departmental/campus-wide responsibilities.
Work Schedule
9am-6pm/Monday-Friday
Some evening and weekend responsibilities
Some on-call responsibilities
40 hours per week
Minimum Education/Experience
Master’s degree, or bachelor’s degree with equivalent experience.
Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Master’s degree in higher education, counseling and/or student personnel (or a related field).
Two years of housing experience at the graduate or professional level.
Demonstrated ability to blend the academic and residential components of student life.
Additional experience in staff supervision and educational/social programming will be viewed positively.
