Bachelor's degree in a related field required. Master's degree in facilities management, student affairs, or higher education leadership strongly preferred. Eight years of progressive professional experience and responsibility in student center management or facilities management required.
Demonstrated supervisory experience in a student center, a similar work environment, or a related field. Demonstrated experience in managing budgets and strategically planning fiscal matters is required. Extensive experience in recruiting, hiring, training, and managing professional employees.
Nature & Purpose of Position/Usual Duties:
Directs, develops, administers, and supervises all aspects of the Lowman Student Center (LSC) and satellite facilities associated with the goals and operational responsibilities of the facility staff.
Primary Responsibilities (Staff Positions Only):
Oversees Lowman Student Center (LSC) facility operations, strategic marketing, programming efforts, and services offered to students, staff, faculty, and off-campus constituents. Directs staffing and employment issues, all fiscal matters related to the facility, student development, risk management compliance, facilities management liaison, and emergency response. Leads protocols of all infrastructure components of the facility. Oversight of all fiscal, personnel, and facility matters of the department. Prepares budget, supervises personnel selection and evaluation, and oversees facility improvement and ongoing maintenance. Works with staff to develop and expand community engagement and increase revenue generating opportunities. Serves as an advocate and develops relationship with key stakeholders to develop partnership on campus and expand the student center's influence. Provides the vision for the facility and oversees strategic planning and assessment efforts. Serves on various University and Division of Student Affairs committees. Performs other related duties as assigned.
