In addition to salary each CRL is provided a monthly campus living allowance of
$400. This operates in place of a traditional meal plan and accumulated over entire tenure at UNCG.

Housing and Residence Life at The University of North Carolina Greensboro (UNCG) is seeking experienced, skilled, and enthusiastic professionals to join our growing Residence Life team. The Coordinator for Residence Life (CRL) position offers new and challenging opportunities for those candidates ready to make an immediate and lasting impact on students through their residential experience.
The CRL position is a 12-month, full-time live-in position with leadership, administrative, and advising responsibilities for a residential environment serving approximately 300 – 600 students. This position reports to an Assistant Director for Residence Life.
Compensation includes a competitive annual salary of $42,000 plus a monthly campus living allowance of $400, furnished apartment with utilities, including high speed wireless internet, a comprehensive health plan and retirement package, and the opportunity to continue education through state tuition assistance.

Supervision and Leadership
Essential Tasks
Supervise, train, and evaluate 6-14 student staff. May supervise a graduate student. May supervise and coordinate hall desk operations and supervise desk assistants. Assist in the development, implementation, and assessment of departmental goals and initiatives. Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with staff. Provide appropriate referrals to other university departments/resources as needed. Serve on an on-call duty rotation. Manage hall budgets. Work with Administration and Facilities staff for community needs.

Coordinate, plan, evaluate, and oversee the implementation of programming and community. building in the residence hall. Serve as a judicial hearing officer for hall conduct. Advise Hall Council. Coordinate and support academic initiatives in the hall and department. May work with a Living Learning or Themed Community. Cultivate a positive and engaging living environment that fosters a sense of belonging and enables students to build positive relationships with one another. May teach a course. Maintain high visibility and availability, including attending community events, regularly walking the community, and interacting with residents.

Perform administrative duties associated with maintaining a residence hall community. Maintain accurate accounting of allocated funds and expenditures. Work cooperatively with other staff members, departments, and offices across the University to foster strong partnerships.

Serve as a representative of Housing and Residence Life on various departmental, divisional, and university committees. Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director (s), Associate Director, or Executive Director of Housing and Residence Life.
