In addition to salary, Residence Hall Coordinators receive $300 declining dining dollars per semester, free reserved parking space, $1000 professional development budget, and a two-bedroom fully furnished apartment with in-unit laundry.

The Residence Hall Coordinators (RHC) serve as vital contributors to the operations and management of a comprehensive housing program with primary duties situated in one residence hall of 120 – 600 residents, some of which house living learning communities.
This position is responsible for implementing our residential curriculum that focuses on providing growth, enhancing perspective, and building community. In addition, RHCs lead departmental committees to continue to improve our processes and residential experience.
Each RHC is responsible for the selection and supervision of student staff members. Residence Hall Coordinators are required to live in their provided on-campus apartment.

Provide administration and management to residence hall
Utilize educational strategies to implement the residential curriculum
Interact with campus partners to facilitate Living Learning Community initiatives
Lead and serve-on committees responsible for the overall administration of a success Residence Life program
Oversee student conduct processes in the residence hall
Select, supervise, train, motivate and evaluate paraprofessional staff and possibly graduate assistants
Promote an inclusive environment that fosters a sense of belonging
Provide staff development and leadership training to paraprofessional staff members and students
Oversee the facility management of assigned residence hall
Monitor a fiscally responsible budget for residence hall community development
Provide crisis management and serve as “on-call” personnel on a rotating basis
