Both positions are for onsite work.
Salary Range: $60,000 - $65,000
Michigan State University has developed a strong network of programs to address issues of relationship violence, stalking and sexual misconduct. Prevention Education Managers serve as critical pieces of this network.
Prevention Education Managers are experienced professionals with extensive knowledge on sexual and relationship violence, general knowledge of Violence Against Women Act, Clery Act and Title IX. These positions work with a team of Prevention Education Managers to create a university network of programs for all employees and students. These positions will be responsible for the following duties:
Specialized focus of prevention education including development and facilitation of specialized workshops, seminars, and programming for specific campus audiences
Management and logistical oversight of workshops tracking and assessment
Evaluate current programming to inform community impact and learning outcomes
Oversee content development for alternative workshop education
Serve as a primary contact for requested trainings from campus community partners
Lead planning for large-scale annual prevention education events
Remain up to date on research, policy and best practices relating to sexual assault, relationship violence, and stalking
Work collaboratively with university and community partners
Represent the department in community committees, projects, and task forces
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of a Master’s degree in social work, student affairs, psychology, public health or related field; minimum 2-4 years of experience working in the field of sexual assault and relationship violence prevention, Experience in working with organizations to deliver services to survivors of sexual assault, dating/domestic violence, and stalking; Knowledge of relevant federal policies, including Title IX and Clery Act; Solid understanding of diversity, general social justice issues, and intersectionality; Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion, sensitivity, and neutrality; Ability to make sound decisions in emergency situations; Strong oral and written communication skills; Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively; Computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
