Job Overview:
This position serves as the Director of Student Life and Title IX Coordinator, for the traditional undergraduate degree program, this position provides oversight for the operations of the Office of Residential Life and Community Standards as well as, leading, managing, and coordinating responses to all Title IX related matters.


Essential Functions:
  • Supervise the Associate Director of Residential Life and Community Standards
  • Provide oversight for the operations of the Office of Residential Life
  • Responsible for assessment efforts for the Division of Student Affairs
  • Assist in developing continual educational and preventative programs regarding alcohol and drug use and abuse
  • Collaborate with the Director of Public Safety ensuring compliance with Clery reporting
  • Manage all Title IX investigations assuring compliance with Title IX regulatory requirements
  • Responsible for conducting, and providing oversight of investigation(s) and adjudication of Title IX claims
  • Track and maintain appropriate Title IX statistics and data as required by state, federal and institutional regulations
  • Collaborate with the Colleges legal counsel with Title IX related matters
  • Collaborate and coordinate Title IX trainings and responses with the Deputy Title IX Coordinator
  • Develop, update, implement policies and procedures and perform campus-wide Title IX training and awareness activities
  • Work with the Office of Human Resources for reports with students and employees or cases involving faculty and staff
  • Work closely with Public Safety to resolve reports involving guests and other third parties.
  • Co-Chair Behavior Intervention Team (BIT)

Qualifications:
  • Previous Title IX and residential life experience
  • Preferred qualification: Certifications in Title IX Investigations/Title IX Coordinator Training and/or EEO training preferred
Education:
  • Bachelor degree is required
  • Masters degree in Student Affairs or related is preferred
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Must be able to think critically, work independently, maintain confidentiality and ability to use appropriate discretion
  • Title IX experience, specifically with investigation and adjudication
  • Experience developing policies and procedures relating to Title IX and student conduct
  • Knowledge of socioeconomic and organizational issues underlying and resulting from sexual harassment, discrimination, and sexual violence.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills, providing training for a variety of constituencies.
  • Working knowledge of gender-based nondiscrimination laws, due process protections, and compliance regulations
  • Working knowledge of the Clery Act and reporting requirements, Title IX, VAWA, and FERPA.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively
Work Schedule Requirements:
Hybrid Availability: No
Evening and some weekend hours required.
Benefits:
Full-time employees are eligible to receive medical, dental, and vision benefits. Full-Time employees can earn between 18-23 paid time off a year. The employer covers tuition remission after 90 days of employment and covers 100 % (employees responsible for books and technology fees). The college is committed to work-life balance and has a summer schedule from June through August. We currently have 14 paid holidays, including a winter break. You will have the opportunity to participate in our retirement plan from day one, and after one year of employment, the college contributes depending on your service years.
