ROLE of the POSITION This position exists to plan, administer, and coordinate residential services for a building or complex of residence halls. Included within this area of responsibility is the supervision of student hourly and paraprofessional staff, student development interventions with residents, program/activity planning and implementation, student leadership development, policy/procedure implementation, office service administration, student record maintenance, student learning assessment, and emergency response.
In addition, this position will provide departmental leadership for the continued enhancement and development of a specific complex program. This position is expected to promote the growth and development of students and staff in a residence hall or Complex; programs, curriculum, and involvement opportunities are designed through an equity and inclusion lens and effectively promoted to appeal to a diverse residential student population. This is to be accomplished through efficient utilization of resources, with emphasis on safety and security, guided by student theory and community development. This position will also oversee judicial case management for a residential complex and provide duty coverage and emergency response. Participation in a rotating on-call schedule and on-campus residence is required.
