The Associate Dean, Residential Commons, manages the Assistant Deans (Area Coordinators), Residential Directors and Resident Assistants assigned primarily to upper-class clusters and ensures Clustered Learning Advocacy and Support for Students (CLASS) is advanced within Rensselaer's residential clusters. The Associate Dean works collaboratively with the Class Deans in order to enhance the overall Rensselaer student experience. In addition, the Associate Dean ensures the development and implementation of programs, services, and collaborative efforts and ensures compliance with community living standards which includes the implementation of disciplinary actions as necessary.

(CLASS)- Clustered Learning, Advocacy, and Support for Students is a comprehensive approach to the student experience at Rensselaer. Through ongoing support, guidance, and co-curricular activities, CLASS connects students to a network of faculty, staff, and other students, ensuring that they are part of a strong community of learners. As students strive to become the leaders of tomorrow, CLASS helps them develop the intellectual agility, multicultural sophistication, and global awareness that will enable them to change the world.

• Master's degree in student personnel, higher education administration, counseling or related area
• Five (5) years of relevant experience in higher education administration, with three (3) years of working in student housing/residential life
• Experience in program planning, budget development, and assessment
