The Placement Exchange Job Board

The Assistant Director of Business and Front Desk Operations is a pivotal part of the Office of Residence Life’s Leadership Team and helps achieve the mission of the department and the University of Kentucky.  The position will oversee approximately 2-3 Residence Halls, hall staff (with full-time Resident Directors as direct reports), and the staff’s efforts to engage and support students in those halls. The Assistant Director will provide development, support, and high-quality supervision for their direct reports.   

This position will also be responsible for the business functions within Residence Life and overseeing the front desk operations of the residence halls.  The position will also provide secondary supervision and development for Office Assistants.  Serving as a liaison to the Student Success Business Office, this Assistant Director will establish and maintain operational procedures related to business functions within Residence Life and handle project management in terms of initiating work assignments, tracking progress, reporting, and troubleshooting issues that arise daily. This position will have some degree of financial and HR/payroll oversight in reviewing budgetary information, interpreting financial data, monitoring expense reports, and analyzing internal unit programs and student-employee training processes.
