Position Summary:
Rutgers University-Newark, an urban public research university and anchor institution, located in Newark, New Jersey, a city of promise, is seeking an EDIT/MEDIA SPEC | WEB. Reporting to the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs/Dean of Students, this position manages communications for the Division of Student Affairs at Rutgers University-Newark.
This position is responsible for and not limited to the following.
This position is responsible for and not limited to the following.
- Produces creative marketing to promote the programs and services of the Student Affairs division
- Publishes, maintains, and updates a variety of mediums used by the Division to communicate with Rutgers-Newark students
- Works with all Student Affairs departments, the Office of Information Technology and other departments within the university to ensure coordinated, targeted, relevant and clear messaging to the student population
- Works with external departments, vendors, artists, and other entities to create, update and publish communications for students
Minimum Education and Experience:
- A Bachelor's Degree is required, preferably in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field
- Minimum of two years of relevant experience in social media and a high level of comfort with communications software and web-based communications
