Rutgers University-Newark, an urban public research university and anchor institution, located in Newark, New Jersey, a city of promise, is seeking an EDIT/MEDIASPEC | WEB. Reporting to the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs/Dean of Students, this position manages communications for the Division of Student Affairs at Rutgers University-Newark.
This position is responsible for and not limited to the following.
Produces creative marketing to promote the programs and services of the Student Affairs division
Publishes, maintains, and updates a variety of mediums used by the Division to communicate with Rutgers-Newark students
Works with all Student Affairs departments, the Office of Information Technology and other departments within the university to ensure coordinated, targeted, relevant and clear messaging to the student population
Works with external departments, vendors, artists, and other entities to create, update and publish communications for students
Minimum Education and Experience:
A Bachelor's Degree is required, preferably in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field
Minimum of two years of relevant experience in social media and a high level of comfort with communications software and web-based communications
