Campus Life at UMBC is seeking a Coordinator for Student Organizations responsible for creating opportunities and coordinating programs that support student involvement and leadership.
The Coordinator for Student Organizations serves as a frontline advisor and point of contact to our 250+ student organizations. This position works with the Student Government Association and Student Organization Committee to help students create new student organizations and to help set them up for success. The Coordinator plans the Involvement Fest event each semester and works closely with campus partners to ensure its overall success.
The Coordinator will work closely with student organization leaders to develop and maintain connections with our student groups and will serve as an advocate and ally to all our organizations. This role will serve as a funnel for connecting students to helpful resources and will be an active problem solver in partnership with our students.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
One year of experience in Student Affairs or a related area
Preferred Minimum Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Higher Education or a related area
Direct work experience with Student Organization Management and Student Government financial allocation processes
