For more information, visit www.emmanuel.edu.Reporting to the Executive Director of Institutional Research, the Assistant Director will provide campus-wide guidance and support in the areas of research, assessment and planning. The Assistant Director of Institutional Research will support and contribute to the gathering, analyzing and synthesizing of information to inform and augment the strategic planning and direction of the College.This important role will have multiple responsibilities including, but not limited to:*Working with other offices on campus to collect data and respond in an accurate manner to the 20+ external survey requests received per year by the IR office (for example, Princeton Review, US News and the College Board).*Assisting in designing and conducting surveys, such as the National Survey of Student Engagement, the Student Satisfaction Inventory and the Emmanuel College Exit Survey.*Maintaining a schedule of required institutional reports and respond to ad-hoc requests for data, reports and analyses from academic and administrative departments within the College, including the President's Office, Academic Affairs, Admissions, Student Financial Services and Student Affairs.*Collecting, analyzing and presenting qualitative and quantitative data for a variety of projects to support strategic, evidence-based decision making at the College.*Creating new reports, analyses and data collection efforts as required to respond to evolving institutional priorities and shed light on complex questions.*Helping maintain, improve and develop internal dashboards in PowerBI to effectively communicate results to various audiences.*Managing the operation of the College's course evaluation process.*Assisting with the College's academic program and institutional assessment efforts.*Ensuring data integrity and accuracy.*Providing other administrative and research support to the Executive Director of IR as needed. Our ideal candidates will possess a Bachelor's degree and three or more years of experience in a position working in a research environment involving data collection, reporting and analysis. A master's degree is preferred. Candidates must be comfortable communicating with employees at all levels of the College.Essential skills include:*Experience with qualitative and quantitative methods of data analysis and survey design and implementation.*Ability to synthesize, summarize, interpret and present data effectively via visualizations and written reports and summaries.*Strong MS office skills, including advanced Excel.*Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve data anomalies and present data accurately.*Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.*Ability to juggle multiple priorities, work under time constraints and be flexible as priorities change.Emmanuel College seeks to create a working and learning environment that reflect the society and community in which we are located, and we actively encourage candidates of all backgrounds to apply.
