Job Summary

As an Application Systems Analyst in the ITS Experience and Engagement Products (EEP) team, you will own the discovery and definition of requirements for cloud-based solutions that enable LMU business users to reach strategic goals and LMU students to achieve academic success.

You will partner with teams across the university to map business and technical workflows and needs during the development of LMU’s new student success and alumni and donor engagement CRMs, based on Salesforce. You will be relied upon for your deep knowledge of and ability to evaluate needs, and to validate functionality. You will support the analysis, training, configuration, administration, troubleshooting, and maintenance needs of projects in alignment with LMU strategic goals and cultural values.

You will possess and contribute knowledge of concepts and trends related to Salesforce, CRM, data architecture, and higher-education technology through your own continued professional development and by representing LMU through participation in relevant professional associations and events.

 

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders and users to troubleshoot, document and resolve functional and access issues

  • Perform application administration and configuration, manage security roles and access, report analysis and generation, data mapping and validation

  • Engage stakeholders to understand the evolving needs of the university in the areas of student success and retention and alumni and donor engagement

  • Act as a liaison between business users and ITS

  • Perform business analysis, which may include business requirement elicitation and documentation, proposing solutions, process optimization, authoring use cases and test scenarios, performing testing, and validation

  • Develop reports and dashboards and configure workflows in accordance with business needs

  • Monitors performance of programs and features after implementation

  • Monitor the effectiveness of systems in supporting the changing needs of the university

  • Keep aware of current trends in higher education administrative and academic systems, and evaluates the applicability of new systems to the needs of the university

  • Facilitate effective communications and positive relationships between ITS staff and users

  • Perform project management duties on projects as necessary

  • Understand and follow the ITS change management process

  • Understand the academic student lifecycle and apply that knowledge to technical projects

  • Present and provide verbal and written status updates and reports as requested

  • Represent LMU within technical communities and at professional organizations or associations, serve on committees as required

  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested

Required Qualifications

  • Typically, a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field or equivalent experience. Incumbent will be expected to continue upgrading knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to keep abreast of technology, regulation and policy changes.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Salesforce administrator, supporting solutions in Salesforce CRM and Marketing Cloud, and working in Flow

  • Experience with working with and supporting Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, or Marketing Cloud.

  • Experience with Lightning platform

  • Deep experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodology

  • Excellent critical thinking skills and a customer-service driven attitude

  • Ability to juggle competing priorities and context switch in a fast-paced environment as an effective member of a team

  • Exemplary written and oral communication skills, evidenced by background in preparing comprehensive reports, user documentation, and executive summaries incorporating complex, highly technical information

  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to business and end users in an approachable manner that demonstrates empathy and authenticity

  • Experience with the business requirements and the lifecycle of a Higher Education institution, including student affairs, university advancement, and enrollment management

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM

  • Experience with Agile development methodologies

  • Experience with project management

  • Experience with UI/UX design

  • Experience with software or database development

  • Salesforce Administration Certifications
