This position is responsible for the implementation of a comprehensive New Student Orientation program (on-campus and online). This position works effectively with Student Affairs and faculty to meet the goals and objectives of the office, division, and institution and participates in program and event development and serves on college committees.
This position is responsible for recruitment of prospective students and moving them to apply to the College. This person leads external presentations at high schools, community-based organizations, and college fairs. This person is responsible for leading Discover Century Information Sessions on-campus and virtually. This person works with the Admissions team to coordinate follow-up with partnering organizations about prospective students moving through the Admissions Funnel. This person actively engages with prospective students (text, meetings, email, phone calls) to encourage application to the College.
Position Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and assess Century's New Student Orientation program.
Directs prospective students, who have not yet applied to the college, in-person, on the phone, through email and via web-conference interviews for the purpose of promoting, informing, gaining commitment to apply and to encourage students to follow through with the application process to attend the college.
Serve on various college committees.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: (expected to have to enter job)
Associate degree required from a regionally accredited institution or two years' experience in student personnel, higher education, or related field. Knowledge of student development and college experience.
Strong presentation skills for motivational and informational presentations to a diverse audience.
Experience in developing effective promotional materials.
Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse population of students, staff, and faculty.
Ability to organize and work on several assignments concurrently.
Ability to make sound, independent judgments.

Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution.
Master's degree in student personnel, higher education, or related field.
Ability to provide statistical reports from program success indicator questionnaires and implement program enhancements.
Understanding of college support services for first generation college students, low-income college students, students of color, and students with disabilities.
Ability to research and evaluate multiple options to ensure program effectiveness.
Prior experience in sales, marketing, recruitment, or orientation.
