Essential Duties and Responsibilities
*Serve as a Hearing Officer for Community Standards and Conflict Resolution
*Manage room selection and assignments process for all incoming and returning residential students.
*Assist in the management of all administrative aspects of the opening and closing of the residence halls as directed by the Associate Director of Residential and Housing Operations.
*Work closely with Area Coordinator/Resident Directors regarding early arrivals, extension requests and room changes for their particular area of responsibility, and ensuring close management of key preparation and check in instructions.
*Supervise a team of front-desk student employees, whose responsibilities include answering telephone calls, assisting walk-in students with residence hall-related questions, greeting office visitors, and monitoring and appropriately forwarding various email accounts. ? Directly manage front desk operations in the absence of available student employees.
*Assist in the management of all short-term transitional housing needs of the summer sessions, winter sessions, and other short-term housing programs. Coordinate with various offices on campus for early arrivals/extended stays for student leaders and student employees.
*Implement off-campus housing-related transition events and resources
*Manage summer housing assignments for current undergraduate students as well as specific summer programs; develop and implement a check-in/check-out process for all undergraduate students and summer programs.
*Maintain residence hall reports and develop monthly occupancy reports to be used by divisional senior leadership.
*Manage student and parent inquiries/concerns making appropriate referrals when necessary and appropriate.
*Meet with students and parents to assist them in finding solutions to any housing-related issues.
* Maintain and manage Adirondack Solutions/The Housing Director software.
*Serve on departmental, divisional, and campus committees as assigned.
*Assumes additional responsibilities as required
