We know that students from different backgrounds and populations have unique career development needs. We are looking for a team-oriented career development professional dedicated to supporting the diverse needs of our students.
As a Land Grant institution, WSU Carson College of Business is committed to providing the best business education for all students able and willing to do the work. We provide individualized support to help students overcome their challenges. From skill building, to networking, to internship/job acquisition; the Carson College supports student career development every step of the way. We do this through a unique program called the Carson Career Amplifier Program; a co-curricular, career development program required for all business majors.
Career Consultants teach our BA 102 (Exploring Careers in Business) class, which is required for all business students, and provide programming for the Amplifier program. They are a valued and important part of a WSU business degree. They guide students through all stages of their career development, and take pride in their success as they graduate.

Apply if you have...
Professional work experience advising, mentoring, or supervising college students. Experience advising underrepresented populations is desirable.
Teaching or strong public speaking experience. Experience using active learning and audience engagement is a plus.
Knowledge of career management systems (i.e. Handshake), HR recruitment platforms, career assessments, and online job search tools
Knowledge of career development theory and practices.
Knowledge of strategies for serving underrepresented students.
