Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Associate Director for Outreach and Community Engagement is the primary administrator responsible for the oversight, creation, and implementation of CAPS's outreach and community engagement programs for the campus community. The position is also responsible for supervision and guidance of the Assistant Director for Outreach and Community Engagement, the Assistant Director for MMHEI & Inclusive Engagement, and administrative supervision of additional designated senior staff. Performs administrative duties as assigned. Provides direct clinical services as is consistent with other staff psychologists.
Under the supervision of the Director of CAPS, this position is the primary administrator responsible for the oversight, creation, and implementation of CAPS outreach and community engagement initiatives. This position also provides direct clinical services as is consistent with other staff psychologists as well as supervision of, research and evaluation, and service to the University community.
Duties specific to role as Associate Director of Outreach and Community Engagement:
Under the supervision of the Director of CAPS, this position is the primary administrator responsible for the oversight, creation, and implementation of CAPS outreach and community engagement initiatives. This position also provides direct clinical services as is consistent with other staff psychologists as well as supervision of, research and evaluation, and service to the University community.
Duties specific to role as Associate Director of Outreach and Community Engagement:
- Provides vision, oversight and multicultural competent leadership in the development, marketing, implementation, and evaluation of the center's outreach and prevention services, programs and initiatives.
- Provides vision, oversight and multicultural competent leadership for the center's drop-in workshops and community space offerings.
- Provides vision, oversight and multicultural competent leadership for the establishment and maintenance of both formal and informal liaison relationships with campus partners and stakeholders.
- Responsible for the management of a yearly outreach budget
- Conducts yearly review of center outreach data, including outcome data, to ensure programs and initiatives are meeting the needs of the student population.
- Provides multicultural competent leadership in the maintenance and development of policy and procedures related to innovative and efficacious outreach and prevention services.
- Provides supervision of Assistant Director for Outreach & Community Engagement, Assistant Director for MMHEI & Inclusive Engagement and other professional, permanent staff as designated.
- Serves as a member of the CAPS leadership team.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Experience / Education:
- Earned Masters or Doctorate degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field.
Preferred Education Skills and Experience:
- At least four years of Counseling Center experience, with evidence of increasing amounts of administrative and supervisory responsibility.
- Experience and interest in providing outreach programming and guidance to clinical services delivery programs.
