Position Information
As a member of the Division of Medical Education (ME) and under the general supervision of the FAO, the Financial Operations Manager will provide financial management and operational support to Undergraduate Medical Education (UME), Student Affairs (SA), and Pathway Programs. This position will provide high-level administrative support to the FAO and Senior Associate Deans, which requires tact, diplomacy, and discretion on a wide variety of complex and sensitive issues. The Financial Operations Manager will serve as a key resource and primary point of contact for the units, department, FAO, Sr. Associate Deans, Faculty and staff.

Thorough knowledge of finance policies, practices and systems.
Has ability to independently gather required information, organize, and perform financial analysis assignments.
Ability to present information in a clear and concise manner both in writing and verbally.
Proven interpersonal skills with peers throughout the organization; service orientation; critical thinking; attention to detail; ability to multi-task in a high volume environment, organizational skills.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
Proven ability to use spreadsheet and database software for complex financial analysis, fiscal management and financial reports.
Ability to function as a member of a team.


Preferred Qualifications
Thorough knowledge and understanding of internal control practices and their impact on protecting University resources.
