Job Duties: The School of Dental Medicine seeks an experienced Coder to read and interpret inpatient and outpatient charts in the School of Dental Medicine. The Coder is responsible for assigning and entering the appropriate ICD-10 and CPT codes in the School of Dental Medicine electronic health record system, reviewing and researching denials on medical claims, performing chart audits for dental claims and providing education related to coding. The coder has to perform work with a high level of accuracy to generate proper reimbursement for services rendered while following government and third party payer guidelines.
