In this role you will:
· Specialize in preventing, diagnosing, and treating mental health concerns and/or illnesses
· Treat a wide variety of conditions and see patients with conditions requiring medication Patients with more disabling issues may be referred out based on best practices and USC's policies and procedures.
· Work cooperatively with medical providers, psychologists, counselors, social workers and support staff assisting with provision of direct psychiatric care in a team environment
· Gain and maintain credentials and privileges as a condition of employment
Advertised Minimum Qualifications :
Graduation from a psychiatric nurse practitioner program. Must be licensed as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or eligible to become licensed in South Carolina. Unrestricted license to practice medicine in South Carolina. Unrestricted DEA. At least 1 year providing direct client care to persons receiving treatment for psychiatric disorders. CPR certification or ability to obtain.
