The Indiana Memorial Union (IMU) has been the heart of the Indiana University Bloomington campus for more than 100 years. Every day thousands of students, faculty, staff, alumni, and guests enjoy the many amenities and opportunities the IMU has to offer.
The Student Involvement and Leadership Center (SILC) is located at 3 prominent locations on campus--the Indiana Memorial Union, Eigenmann Hall (IU Outdoor Adventures), and Campus View Apartments (Crimson Cupboard). SILC staff work to foster growth and learning among students and student organizations by supporting inclusive and engaging experiences through the creation and execution of co-curricular programs and services.

Job Summary
Department Specific Responsibilities
Supports the Program Managers and the objective of IMU Programs.
Responsible for managing activity areas throughout the union, adhering to safety measures and activity guidelines posed by the Program Managers, and complying with emergency response plans.
Work alongside multiple campus departments, resources, and employees.
May collect entertainment resources, decorate the IMU, staff information tables, and be present at programs including the weekly Late Nite series, Trivia Series, Open Mic Night Series, Film Series, Lotus in the Meadow, IU Day, and other IMU related activities and events.
Report to 2 Program Managers who plan and implement the Late Nite series and other events.
Attends 30 minute bi-weekly staff meetings to learn about the upcoming programs.
Attends a semester evaluation with the Program Coordinator.

Required
Currently enrolled as a student at Indiana University
SKILLS
Required
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Superior customer service skills
Ability to interact with a diverse population
Preferred
Familiarity with the campus and Indiana Memorial Union in order to give directions
Working Conditions / Demands
Some moving of heavy objects and flexibility to work a range of activities is required
Other duties as assigned
