| Summary of Position: | The Center for Student Involvement is seeking applicants for the Coordinator of Center for Student Involvement in the Division of Student Affairs. The Coordinator of Center for Student Involvement provides support and acts as a resource for all Registered Student Organizations (RSOs) on campus with special attention to Fraternities and Sororities. This position will help advise and support student organizations across campus, by overseeing their general activities and assisting with event development and management, leadership, accountability, and budget oversight, as well as support governing councils and fraternity/sorority chapters. This position will report to the Associate Dean of Student Life. The Coordinator maintains a visible presence on campus, must be available to work hours outside the traditional work week, and is actively engaged in the creation and support of student organization events and traditions. | |

| Essential Duties/Responsibilities: | Develop and maintain quality educational programs for members of student organizations focusing on leadership, risk management, social responsibility, financial responsibility, community service initiatives, and membership recruitment. Mentor and assist students interested in starting a new Registered Student Organization throughout the new organization process. Develop and incorporate assessment into programmatic efforts to evaluate the achievement of goals related to student learning and engagement. Utilize the RSO management software, Bulldog Connect, operated by Presence. Assist in maintaining, developing, and implementing departmental policies, including the RSO Handbook and the Events and Travel Manual. Serve as a risk manager for student and campus activities and student organizations. Develop and assist with a variety of programming efforts for the Center for Student Involvement and the Division of Student Affairs. Serve as an instrumental liaison between campus and external partners, students, alumni, national offices, and other stakeholders on behalf of these priorities. Collaborate with student organizations, Fraternity & Sorority Life chapters, and with advisors to provide guidance, expectations, as well as provide support to chapter presidents, officers, alumni, and advisors through regular meetings and communications. Provide support to the University’s four Fraternity & Sorority Life governing councils and maintain a visible presence with each council. Provide program oversight for formal and informal recruitment periods, including marketing and programming efforts to increase awareness of Fraternity & Sorority Life amongst the student body and University community. Coordinate educational and social programs in Fraternity & Sorority Life such as the New Member Institute, Greek Week, and officer and advisor trainings. Attend monthly All Student Life Meetings. Serve on Committees within Student Affairs and the University. Comply with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Serve as a Campus Security Authority and as a Responsible Employee as defined by Clery, Title IX, and Campus Policy. Responsible for maintaining confidentiality of designated information and for performing all duties in compliance with University, federal, and state regulations. Demonstrates an understanding of diversity, equity and inclusion, especially in working relationships with students, faculty, staff and community members. Perform additional related duties as required. Any other duties assigned within the position classification area. | |
