Job Overview

The Academic Administrative Directors (AAD) - in a temporary role - provides academic resource support to high school students, Mentors, and the Academic Director (AD), changing gears quickly and troubleshooting problems independently to implement and oversee the day-to-day logistics of their programs.

Reliable, responsible, and flexible, they work under pressure in a fast-paced environment to train and supervise a team of Mentors throughout the summer. Their main areas of responsibility include:
  • Program Development
  • Program Implementation
  • Student Affairs
  • Training and Supervision
  • Other duties as assigned


Work Interactions

Reporting to the Academic Director, the Assistant Academic Director supervises a cohort of high school students.

Qualifications
  • Current or graduating undergraduate or graduate student or recently graduated
  • Supervisory and/or leadership experience
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Google Suite, and Zoom


Preferred qualifications
  • Current or graduating GU student
  • Experience working in an educational setting
  • Experience working with faculty
  • Experience working with high school students
  • Institutional knowledge of Georgetown University
  • Knowledge or experience relating to the Academy subject matter
