Job Duties:
The specific duties and responsibilities of this position include planning, leadership, and supervisory responsibility of seven main programmatic or operational areas including:
1) Leadership and responsibility for first year experiences assessment including pre and post
testing-surveys. Coordinate all aspects of assessment for Residence Life area including writing/updating outcomes, strategic plan initiatives, and quarterly reports.
2) Direct supervision of 2-3 professional staff members, graduate assistants, and other staff
assigned. Co-supervision of Assistant Director of LLCs & Student Success.
3) Leadership and oversight of a Campus Living tutoring center(s) or space(s) including
expanded use of residence hall or dining hall spaces (typically but not limited to mid-term
and final exam periods). Oversee all departmental Academic Initiatives.
4) Front-line services for Campus Living's Living Learning Communities.
5) Leadership of volunteer service, community service, and campus service initiatives
within the department.
6) Administration includes hearing higher level conduct.
7) Coordinate and teach a section of COAD 2001, Resident Advisor Courses.
8) Coordinate Admissions Open House, Pirate's Aboard & Friday events in tandem with Administrative Associate of Res Life and the Director of Housing Operations.
The administrative duties for this position include the following:
Leadership, overall direction & oversight of departmental Academic Initiatives (19%).
Supervision of 2-3 professional Coordinators; co-supervision of the Assistant Director of LLCs & Student Success; and supervision of Peer Academic Leaders (19%).
Coordinate and complete all residence life Assessment efforts (15%).
Coordinate and monitor the RA Course (COAD 2001) (10%).
Assist with the adjudication of higher-level Conduct cases (10%).
Administration including business and administrative services for the LLCs and chairing the Student Appreciation Celebration Committee (8%).
Coordinate Open House, Pirates Aboard & Admissions Fridays in collaboration with Res Life Administrative Associate & Director of Housing Operations (8%).
Develop and promote volunteer, community, and campus service initiatives within the departments and attend McCartney Scholar/First Generation Fall Break Service Trip (6%).
Monitor and administer RA grade follow-up meetings (5%).
