This position requires the incumbent to live on campus in University provided housing. The housing package includes on-campus housing (2-bedroom apartment + utilities), a meal plan, discounted underground heated parking, and a flexible partner/pet policy.

The Assistant Director of Residential Operations leads the planning, coordination, and facilitation of sales and marketing practices within the Residence Life department to increase occupancy and fiscal sustainability of the program. Provides student leadership, development, and systems navigation; as well as essential leadership in crisis management, student leadership concerns, and administrative responsibilities relative to the operation of a comprehensive residential program.

Primary Responsibilities

• Oversee housing selection, billing, and coordination of housing facilities.
• Supervision of student leads.
• Monitor trends in student interest and configuration of units related to sales for departmental analysis
• Collaborate with campus partners for contract sales (e.g., Athletics, Admissions, International Student and Scholar Services, Multicultural Life, StepUp, Student Financial Services, Academic Advising, Registrar, Study Abroad, etc.).
• Maintain data management systems for Residence Life.
• Assist with the development of forecasting information for occupancy and revenue analysis for the department, assisting with meal plan sales and data entry.
• Collaborates with the CLASS Office in regards to all student housing accommodation needs
• Provide updated analytics regarding current occupancy and ancillary revenue.
• Provides capacity as initial contact for prospective or continuing students and families regarding on-campus living and the Residence Life/University experience.
• Participate as part of the on-call duty rotation, including weekends and holidays, and respond to crisis and emergency situations when the college is closed.
• Serve as a hearing officer for student conduct cases, including communicating and enforcing student responsibilities.
• Support efforts, in coordination with the Director and Assistant Director of Residence Life, to perform or to ensure student welfare checks in conjunction with the university's student alert process and student care team.
• All other duties as apparent or assigned by supervisor(s).
