About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Director of Academic Services and Law School Registration, the Registration Operations and Office Associate will oversee all manual class registrations within the School of Law (SOL) at Northeastern University. The Associate will also partner with other ASA team members to support office operations through a variety of engaging operational tasks related to registration and office operations, such as: overseeing manual registrations, including independent studies, law fellows, moot court, research assistants, teaching assistants, cross-registrations, and first-year registrations; maintaining, creating and updating all Academic and Student Affairs online forms (currently using Wufoo software) and process submissions.
Responsibilities
1) Registration Operations
Oversee all manual registrations, including independent studies, law fellows, moot court, research assistants, teaching assistants, cross-registrations, and first-year registrations
Maintain, build and update all Academic and Student Affairs online forms (currently using Wufoo software) and process submissions
Solicit faculty teaching schedule preferences each semester
Build classroom schedule and final exam schedule each semester
Collect final exam information from teaching faculty, as well as serve as the central depository for all final exams; adhering to data retention policies
Work with the Director and proctors to administer midterm and final exams
Oversee exam reschedule requests and coordinate exams in the Disability Resource Center
Coordinate with Faculty Services Team to provide exam files to faculty
Assist with data requests for various internal and external parties
2) Office Operations
Maintain office supplies and place orders for the office as needed
Manage the central office email inbox, distributing email as appropriate and responding as appropriate
Assist office team members with welcoming to students, faculty, staff and guests to the suite
Assist office team members with set-up and implementation of office-sponsored programming
Maintain and update the Academic and Student Affairs website and Canvas site
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Knowledge and skills typically obtained through a related bachelor's degree or equivalent and between one to three years of administrative experience
Strong attention to detail
Ability to meet deadlines and conflicting priorities
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong customer service focus.
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and a high level of comfort using technological systems
Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion and a proven ability to work with a diverse group of students, staff, and faculty
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a higher education setting
Experience with Banner, website software, scheduling software
