Specialized and skilled leader for a non-credited recreational or sports program. Creates and implements recreational programs for participants of all ages and may serve as a lead or mentor for other program instructors and may be required to provide instruction. Program leaders at this level are required to demonstrate considerable discretion, initiative and independence to resolve issues and perform other duties as assigned. The culinary operations manager will handle all responsibilities required to continue the existing culinary program successfully. Responsibilities include but are not limited to; meeting and follow up with potential clients, menu development, shopping, food prep, supervising students, supervising guest chefs, daily ARC bar supervision to maintain a consistent operation. Ensure risk management and food handling procedures comply with university guidelines.
Teaching and food service supervisory experience preferred Experience working with children Experience developing courses in the culinary field. Experience presenting to large groups including but not limited to children, alumni, students, professors and patrons
High school diploma or equivalent certification preferred.
Certification to instruct in the applicable recreational sports program or equivalent experience preferred. Certified in Serv-Safe safety and sanitation Associates
Proficiency in the use of basic computer applications relevant to job duties. Highly effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language. Client service minded, entrepreneurial spirit and creative thinking skills to resolve issues.
Preferred:
Degree, Bachelor's
Red Cross CPR preferred. Standard First Aid Training Certification perferred.
Preparing annual budget reports with projections Knowledge of campus policies and procedures. Demonstrated skills to work independently to develop program objectives and methodology in attaining those objectives Specialized knowledge of program activity and industry best practices. Leadership and interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively across the organization, internally and externally. Service orientation, program management, sound judgment and decision-making, critical thinking, development of original ideas, and creative problem solving skills.
Special Conditions Required:
Ability to successfully pass FBI and DOJ Criminal Check.
Work nights and weekends as needed
