The Placement Exchange Job Board

1. Identify and negotiate job opportunities for Garden State Pathways students with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities both on and off the college campus.

2. Forge productive partnership/relationships with various community agencies and external stakeholders to connect with and support students.

3. Address employers concerns about hiring and supervising individuals with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities while maintaining the confidentiality of the job seeker.

4. Orient new students to educational, vocational and employment services or opportunities.

5. Assist in conducting educational and employment assessments of students.

6. Assist instructors in creation of a functional resume and/or employment portfolio for the students in Garden State Pathways.
7. Report weekly on students progress and maintain records of vocational hours for students.
8. Complete required paperwork regarding off-campus traveling per College's Conferences & Meeting Policy.
9. Participate om weekly departments and monthly division meetings.
10. Assist client in securing documentation needed for employment and training opportunities.
11. Assist on-site interviews with students as needed at job fairs and recruiting events.
12. Engages students through a variety of communication channels which may include Zoom, student calls, email/text/chat and proactive outreach to students.
13. Meet individually and in small groups with students as needed.
14. Participates in all Garden State Pathways Orientations, group tours, and other college sponsored events including: new student orientation, open houses and recruitment events
15. Assist the Assistant Director of Disability Services/Garden State Pathways in hosting employer/employee appreciation luncheon.
16. Assists in college wide registration activities, open houses, general new student orientation and Commencement.
17. Participates in professional development.
18. Performs other related duties as assigned.

1. Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred
2. Computer skills for record keeping (MS Word and Excel)
3. Previous experience with Intellectual/Developmental Disability (IDD) population required.
4. Must have a valid Driver's License.
5. Ability to stand for long periods of time to act as a liaison for student training.
