Columbia Basin College ("CBC" or the "College") seeks a Program Assistant to perform work in support of the Assessment Center. This position provides information to students, service providers and other campus entities. The Program Assistant maintains test history for students, processes in-person & online placement results and schedules all required testing appointments. This position reports to the Director for the Assessment Center.

Primary Responsibilities:
Serve as a primary contact with program participants for a variety of assessments; provide information regarding program practices and activities; perform a variety of public relations functions; deliver group instructions during various testing sessions; coordinate accommodated test administration for students with a documented disability;
Prepare daily testing rosters; verify all supporting documentation; troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies; with assistance from technical support teams, report technical issues with exam delivery during test sessions for all exam sponsors;
Manage check-in process, including editing records, printing test scores and reports, lab set-up, in-room proctoring and producing hard copies of student records;
Ensure and maintain security of test materials and confidentiality of test results and other sensitive information;
Compose correspondence, printed materials, and/or informational e-mails related to program practices, procedures and operations; edit materials for accuracy, appearance, readability and style;
Establish and maintain records and files; record statistical information; prepare narrative and/or statistical reports regarding program operations;
Schedule appointments and meetings;
Communicate with testing sponsors to resolve technical issues during assessment deliveries;
Coordinate arrangements for program activities such as large testing sessions, meetings, conferences and off-site events;
Provide proctoring services during online sessions and at assigned outreach facilities as needed;
Adhere to the standards and guidelines of the National College Testing Association;
Remain up-to-date with training and in-service for all test publisher testing requirements; must attain certifications needed to administer appropriate exams; maintain required certification through Pearson Vue, in order to serve as an authorized GED Examiner to guarantee proctoring support; produce and submit to Pearson Vue incident reports detailing technical and/or operational issues as well as potential candidate misconduct;
Read technical manuals and apply knowledge;
Utilize conflict resolution skills when assisting difficult customers;
Work effectively in a diverse community and meet the needs of diverse student populations;
Receive and maintain inventory;
May direct the work of student workers; and
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
High school graduate or equivalent; and
Two (2) years of full-time clerical experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate's degree or equivalent from an institutionally accredited college or university.
