Job Description

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, CURRICULUM MANAGEMENT AND ADVISING, EXECUTIVE DEGREE PROGRAMS, Sloan School of Management-Executive Degree Programs, to collaborate with program staff, faculty, students, and vendors in the delivery of MIT Sloan's world-class Executive MBA degree programs. Will play a key role in coordinating ongoing logistics, operations, and delivery of MIT Executive MBA courses in a dynamic and challenging business environment. Duties will include determining and managing program requirements, including internal and external resources; understanding the nature and purpose of courses and communicating that information; managing participants' questions and concerns by determining which to resolve individually, which to elevate to the director-level, and which to interpolate into overall updates, information, and policy; negotiating individual student concerns; and collaborating with the associate director to set policies and processes.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: bachelor's degree; at least two years of administration experience; experience with program/curriculum management, action learning/experiential learning, and/or student affairs; ability to work closely and supportively with students, lead and deliver complex and challenging programs, establish effective working relationships, multitask, and work in a pressured work environment; excellent organizational, interpersonal, presentation, and oral and written communication skills; and experience with executive education or mid-career students. Seek a self-starter who is able to work effectively both independently and as part of cross-disciplinary teams that include staff from within the Executive Degree programs and other departments, faculty, and students. Must be able to provide customer service and logistical support to students and visitors, including acting as a point of contact, on selected program delivery days/evenings (including up to twenty Saturdays and four Sundays/year).
