Job Summary: | The Assistant Director designs, develops, and executes processes related to student services, event planning, admissions, marketing and communications, and programming for MBA students. This person will work with the Academic Director in managing, coordinating and facilitating the program. This position will support the execution of real- world learning opportunities for MBA students including corporate site visits, hands-on work experience, and student projects as well as advise students in all aspects of their academic experiences. The person in this position must have a strong professional presence with excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, a superior customer service focus, and should constantly seek ways to improve efficiency, processes, procedures and overall effectiveness of the Center.
This position will interact with MBA students, prospective students, alumni, employers, faculty, External Advisory Board members and university administration as well as represent the Center and the Wisconsin School of Business at events, committees and conferences. |
Responsibilities: | Oversees the daily management of programs, services, activities, facilities, policies and/or processes in order to support student success in various areas of student affairs. Works under broad, administrative direction with significant responsibility for assigned area(s) of responsibility. Responds to inquiries from University departments, educational institutions, the community, and/or external agencies. Strives to create a welcoming, equitable, and inclusive work environment. - 20% Plans, organizes, administers, and manages processes and operations related to assigned area(s) of responsibility
- 20% Monitors, evaluates, and modifies processes, procedures, and/or standards, ensuring alignment with the Institution's mission, values, goals, and objectives, as well as all local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
- 15% Advises and enforces Institution policies related to services in Student Affairs
- 15% Serves as the program or unit liaison to internal and external stakeholder groups
- 20% Schedules logistics and secures resources to support the operational plans of the program or unit
- 10% May monitor the program budget and approve expenditures
