Job Description Responsible for providing administrative support for the Educational Resource Center (ERC) programs and operations. The ERC is responsible for providing and assuring academic support services for students across the schools and colleges at Boston University.
Responsibilities:
Provides front desk coverage and oversight of front desk staffing, scheduling, and operations for the ERC.
Maintains and implements a training regimen for student desk assistants.
Collaborates with other units (e.g., the Center for Career Development) on onboarding and provides on-going training, mentoring and support to student desk assistants during front desk coverage.
Provides administrative support for ERC staff and operations.
Assists the Assistant Director for Tutoring Services with ongoing administration of peer tutoring and related programs, including responding to email correspondence and processing weekly payroll.
Processes hiring paperwork and weekly payroll for ERC student employees (e.g., peer tutors, student desk assistants) and ensures that the submission of student employees time is accurate and meets established Student Employment Office deadlines.
Provides general logistical and administrative support for ERC programs, workshops, events, and office needs.
Works with ERC staff member(s) to set up workshop logistics including Zoom and webinar information, participant attendance, contact information, survey distribution and survey results.
Creates and sends correspondence to workshop participants.
Responds to all workshop participants inquiries and questions via email as needed.
Provide miscellaneous support, as needed, including utilizing the internal procurement system to make purchases from internal and external vendors, assisting with the operations of office and conference space, managing and uploading ERC graphics to digital signs, attending departmental meetings, and participating as an undergraduate affairs team member for large-scale meetings and events.

High school diploma or vocational degree with 2-4 years of experience, or Bachelor's degree with 1-3 years.
