The Health Profession Pathways program, also known as the Pathways program, specifically focuses on supporting undergraduate students from backgrounds historically underrepresented in the health professions. The goal of the Pathways program is to reduce and remove barriers students face and to help students matriculate into a health professional program. The Pathways program also aims to utilize strategies to reduce systemic barriers that could impact our students’ success. Students in the Pathways program will participate in specialized programming, activities, and courses that will enhance their pre-health journey and help them build a competitive application portfolio.

The Pathways Assistant Program Manager supports the daily management of the Pathways program and reports directly to the Pathways Program Manager. This role involves working directly with Pathways program students, the Pre-Health Student Resource Center (PHSRC) staff, the University of Minnesota faculty, staff and external partners. Further responsibilities include developing specialized educational programming and exclusive opportunities for Pathways program students. The Pathways Assistant Program Manager will be responsible for a caseload of students that they will support from the start of the Pathways program to the students’ matriculation into a health professional program.

This is a civil service position, job code 8461CV. The salary range is $48k-52k.

The Health Profession Pathway Program is actively engaged in work to champion diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice. For this position, we particularly encourage applications from those who belong to groups that have been historically excluded and underrepresented from higher education, including those who are Black, Indigenous, and people of color, as well as those with disabilities, veterans, and those from LGBTQIA+ communities. We invite you to join us in our work to positively transform how we recruit and admit students and ensure that all staff, students, and families are included, valued, and respected.

Please note: At this time, the University of Minnesota is limited in how it collects applicant demographic information. Applicants are encouraged to provide their preferred names and/or pronouns within their attached materials.
