Reporting to the Director of Enrollment Management Technical Implementation and Communication (EMTIC), with a dotted line to the Associate Director of Communications in EMTIC, the Publications and Communications Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the development and production of communications through various media in support of enrollment management goals and student success initiatives. The incumbent works collaboratively with departments within Enrollment Management to identify needs and create corresponding integrated communication campaigns including publications, web resources, MySJSU messages, emails and other communications. This person will act as liaison with departments and units outside of enrollment management to create, collect, and edit information for Enrollment Management publications, websites, and communications. As a member of the team, this incumbent will be responsible for the development and execution of both internal and external communication plans for Enrollment Management. This position performs tasks related to the functional and technical aspects of the communication plan related to Enrollment Management departments and strategic partners in Student Affairs including the development and implementation of web, print, electronic, social media and CRM content. Working independently and under minimal supervision, the position is responsible for maintaining a high level of knowledge regarding a communication system that attracts, recruits, enrolls, and graduates academically qualified, culturally diverse, and socially conscious populations of undergraduate and graduate students. As a representative of San Jose State University, this person maintains a high level of expertise in requirements, processes, and regulations to facilitate quality customer service and advising in supporting students’ decision to apply and attend SJSU. The Enrollment Management Communications Coordinator will develop and maintain accurate and transparent documentation of the communication process and workflow in order to maintain levels
