The HR Coordinator is an important member of the UHS HR Team. This successful candidate will:
-Manage the recruiting and hiring of permanent staff, working with all UHS departments to maintain staffing levels -Support recruiting, hiring and onboarding of permanent and temporary employees; -Maintain the performance management system, ensure timely compliance across UHS -Manage the UHS HR email box/communications -Support and promote compliance with UHS and UW Madison policies and procedures -Support diversity efforts in recruitment and hiring -Provides back-up to other HR staff activities as needed -Completes HR projects as assigned. |
Responsibilities: | Creates and maintains human resources (HR) records, coordinates logistics for one or many HR functions, disseminates HR communications, and processes various HR specific transactions to ensure compliance with established rules and regulations - 15% Creates and maintains various HR specific reports, databases, and/or records to ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, and legal rules and regulations
- 35% Enters, reviews, and processes HR transactions according to established policies and procedures
- 10% Schedules logistics and secures resources for recruitment processes, onboarding activities, payroll functions, and/or other HR related activities
- 15% Serves as a point of contact to employees, managers, and internal and external stakeholders. Responds to inquiries and escalates more complex issues to the appropriate authorities
- 15% Audits and tracks compliance for various HR functions such as performance evaluations, onboarding, off boarding, criminal background checks, and credentialing
- 10% Manages the dissemination of HR related communications to various audiences under the direction of leadership

Education: | Required H.S. Diploma HR certification highly preferred
Preferred Associate's Degree |
Qualifications: | 1 year human resources experience required; recruitment, campus, or Workday experience preferred. |
Work Schedule: | General hours are 8am-4:30pm Mon, Wed-Fri and 9a-5:30 Tuesday. Subject to change based on operational needs. |

This position may require some work to be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location. Some work may be performed remotely, at an offsite, non-campus work location. |
